The Air Force Common Admission Test, which is a gateway for every IAF aspirant to realize their dream of flying high, will be conducted in the month of August. This is the second AFCAT of 2014, the first one was held in the month of February. Indian Air Force will start accepting the applications in the month of June. Hence get ready to fill up the forms and start preparations for the same. Given below are some important information’s relating to the AFCAT 2 2014.
- Start of submission of forms: 7th June 2014
- Last Date for submission: 3rd July 2014.
- Mode of Application: Online Only
- Where to get the detailed notification: On the career website of Indian Airforce www.careerairforce.nic.infrom 7th June 2014 onwards and in the employment news dated on 7th June 2014.
- What Posts you can apply for: You can apply based on your age and educational qualification for the post of commissioned officers in the Flying, Ground Duty and Technical Branches of Indian Air Force.
- Minimum Educational Qualification: However the qualification differs for different posts yet the minimum qualification is Graduation.
- Exam Date: 31st August 2014.
- Results: The results for AFCAT 2 2014 can be expected by 20th September 2014.

i have been trying to apply for afcat 2014 but my application keeps getting rejected with a message of (invalid data)
i have graduated from law (5 years) in 2013. I have no backlogs. have done from allahabad university, so its a recognized institution too. i have checked and rechecked my entries and they are all valid and i am eligible to apply. however, there is just one problem.. my qualification B.A.LL.B. has been specified in both graduate and post graduate options. this appears to be the only glitch to me. i cant proceed to other parts without filling part 2 and the last date is approaching too. please help me!

I am currently in final year of my graduation(B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering). I want to apply for Flying and Technical in AFCAT 2 2014. The problem which i am facing is that out of the 18 subjects list that is given in the advertisement under AERONAUTICAL ENGINEER(ELECTRONICS), I as a cse student has studied 7 subjects namely Engineering Physics, Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Drawing, Electrical Engineering, Microprocessors, Digital Electronics and Computer Networking. I won’t be studying any of the remaining given subjects in my final year too…..so i was thinking(being a cse student) to fill Information Technology as 8th subject. I just wanted to know if there will be any problem if i qualify for technical but later when documents and all are checked my appointment will be cancelled.?? Please help..it has always been my dream to join the Air Force.
Though my first preference is flying but i still want to make sure that everything will be fine.
you might studied Basic Electronic/Electronic Devices subject in your first year bro.check that out.
Anyways you will get an option to select for EKT subjects,there you can give computer.

I am filling AFCAT application.In part 4,after I fill the subjects studied in graduation,I got an option to select subjects for EKT exam(The options for this are not clear).The interface of website is not so clear to differentiate whether the options are Computer,Electrical & Electronics/Computer Electronics,Electrical.Anyways I dont fall under any of these(As I am graduate in Electronics and communications.).I am stuck here.
Guys did any one encounter similar problem.
If possible list the subjects in EKT exam.
Help me out with this.

If u have chosen electrical subjects,the EKT subject will be automatically selected and it may not exactly match with ur engg branch.

Ok,I tried by not choosing any of the electrical subjects.But still I get only two options to select.
Computer and Electrical & Electronics in EKT options.
As you said it may not match my Egg branch.If I choose electrical & Electronics then I might be getting questions on electrical topics too.So it can be a problem right?

I guess it is by default,as i have completed my degree in aeronautical but still by default it has shown MECH ENGG.I guess EKT will just basics of Engg so need not worry if u r unable to choose your core branch just select the closer one.

I think AFSB centre is allotted on successful completion of written examination. AFSB is SSB for AIr Force, and SSB is conduction for successful candidates of written test (AFCAT).
