Established in 1955, Minerva Academy was the brainchild of Lt. Col I S Deol. He was a true pioneer and set up what is now India’s premier, oldest and best Academy for SSB interviews and written exam coaching.

PVC captain Vikram Batra and PVC Flying officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon (IAF’s first and only PVC awardee) were also proud Minervans. The first Indian to climb Mount Everest, Captain A.S Cheema ( Padma Shri Award, Arjuna Award, SM, VSM) was also one of the Academy’s famous alumni.
The Academy celebrated the completion of 60 years of it’s inception with a grand ‘Diamond Jubilee’ celebration held on 2nd November 2014. The momentous occasion was marked by the presence of luminaries such as Vishal Batra (Capt. Vikram Batra’s twin) alongside his parents and General V P Malik both of whom gave very inspiring & impassioned speeches and moved the august audience.
