NDA 2 2018 Notification and Exam Date

The Indian armed forces has specific selection criteria for recruiting the best soldiers at all positions and ranks. The armed forces provides several chances for the young aspirants to join the forces starting form NDA, which can be opted by almost all 12th appearing or passed candidates. Same opportunity can be tracked and targeted by the candidates in the form of NDA 2 2018. The opportunity will be best for all 12th pass out students. The exam conducting authority, UPSC, has set certain parameters and framed eligibility criteria for the students.

Citizenship – Candidates, who are India subject of Bhutan, subject of Nepal, Tibetan Refugee or a person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire or Vietnam are eligible for the exam.

Educational Qualification – The students, who are appearing or have passed 10+2 are eligible for the army service of NDA. While those who have Physics and Maths as their compulsory subjects in 10+2 are eligible to apply for the air force and naval academies of the NDA.

  • Candidates who are failed in PABT/INSB are not eligible for air force.
  • The candidates debarred from the ministry of defence are not eligible for the exam.

Age – Students falling in the age range from 2nd January 2000 to 1st January 2003 are eligible for NDA 2 2018. Both the dates are included in the eligibility criteria. The candidate has to be unmarried to claim eligibility of the exam. Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd January 2000 and not later than 1st January 2003 are eligible. 

Steps to apply

The candidates have to visit upsconline.nic.in and will get NDA 2 2018 forms along with the beginning and ending dates of the forms. The form has 2 parts.

Part 1

It consists of 2 pages having

  1. Personal information and contact information
  2. Preference regarding army, navy and air force.

After the completion of part 1, a registration ID will be the generation which will help the candidate in completing part 2 and generation of admit card before exam.

Part 2

It consists of 3 parts

  1. Fees payment (Rs. 100 – offline or online modes)
  2. Centre selection
  3. Photo and sign upload

After that, final form submission and accepting the declaration is to be done to submit the form.

Exam Pattern

The exam consists of 2 papers. The first paper has mathematics and the second paper has 2 sections of English and general abilities.

Points To Keep In Mind

Photo – The photo of the candidates must be in the determined size and dimensions.

Fees – The fees of the form is 100 and the candidates can either deposit it in offline or online means. SC/ST candidates and Sons of Serving / Ex-Junior Commissioned Officers/ Non-Commissioned Officers are not liable to pay the fees.

Details – The details of the candidate has to be filled correctly keeping all the spellings correct.

NDA 2 2018 Vacancies

  • National Defence Academy : 339 (208 for Army, 39 for Navy and 92 for Air Force)
  • Naval Academy : 44( 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme)

NDA 2 2018 Educational Qualifications:

  • For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  • For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

NDA 2 2018 CENTRES OF EXAMINATION: The Examination will be held at the following Centres : Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bareilly, Bhopal,
Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur and Vishakhapatnam.

NDA 2 2018 FEE:  Candidates (excepting SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2 below who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a
fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/MasterCard/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.

HOW TO APPLY: Candidates are required to apply online by using the website upsconline.nic.in Brief instructions for filling up the online Application Form have been given in the notification. Detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website.

NDA 2 2018 Admit Card: The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website (upsc.gov.in) for being downloaded by candidates. No Admit Card will be sent by post. All the applicants are required to provide valid & active
e-mail id while filling up online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
