For the very first time, IAF is going to conduct AFCAT exam online. Since 2011, IAF is conducting AFCAT offline using OMR sheets. From AFCAT 2018 onward, candidates will be facing the same exam online at various AFCAT online centres across the country. Below you can find the details on how AFCAT online will be conducted.
All applicants whose applications are submitted by due date will be called at one of the examination centres for AFCAT scheduled on 25 February 2018 (Sunday). It is mandatory for the candidates opting for Ground Duty (technical) branch to appear in both AFCAT as well as EKT. Engineering Knowledge Test will also be conducted along with the AFCAT.
AFCAT Exam Schedule: The AFCAT (and EKT) will be conducted in two shifts as per the following schedule:

Note: No candidate will be permitted to enter the exam hall after the exam has commenced at 0900 hrs (for First Shift) and 1345 hrs (for Second Shift) under any circumstance.
AFCAT 2018 Admit Card
The eligible candidates shall be issued with an e-Admit Card three weeks before the date of the examination. The e-Admit Card will be sent to the registered email IDs and will be also available at the website www.careerindianairforce.cdac.in of all candidates who successfully submitted their online application. No Admit Card will be sent by post. To download the e-Admit Card, a candidate should have his/her username and password. The candidate will be solely responsible for downloading his/her e-Admit Card.
