Meet Captain Tanya Shergill 1st Woman Officer As Parade Adjutant on Army Day Parade

Indian is celebrating the 72nd Army Day today, Indian Army’s Captain Tanya Shergill became the first woman officer as Parade Adjutant on Army Day Parade this year. Captain Tanya Shergill is the first woman to lead an all-male marching contingent at the event. She is a 4th generation officer, her great grandfather served in the Sikh Regiment, her grandfather was in Armoured Corps, her father was in Artillery and she is serving in corps of signals.
