Being confident as a defence aspirant can be challenging given the myriad factors that influence the success in SSB Interview. If your written exam and SSB interview preparation are good, you might believe that this will enhance your confidence. In actuality, though, what will actually help you succeed in the first place is confidence in who you are and what you are capable of.

Becoming confident is easier said than done, especially when you consider that being a defence aspirant involves continually pushing boundaries and going beyond your comfort zone. When things don’t go as planned or when people tell you “no” or “it can’t be done,” it’s easy to start doubting yourself. Your belief in yourself is what will propel you forward, allow you to accept the opportunity, and demonstrate that everything is possible.

1. Master the art of solitude.

Having difficulty being alone yourself is a sign of insecurity.

  • Spend some time by yourself by going for walks.
  • Dine out by yourself.
  • Visit a movie theatre by yourself.

You won’t feel the need to impress other people once you’ve reached the point where you’re content with yourself on your own. This is an example of confidence.
