CDS 1 2017 Result PIB vs UPSC

0

Since the PIB-Press Information Bureau posted the result of CDS 1 2017 and deleted it later on, there were lot of confusion raised among the candidates, candidates who were able to find their names in the list posted by PIB were happy but at the same time they were not sure if the similar result will be posted by UPSC. The confusion arises when PIB posted the result before UPSC which apparently happened for the first time. Also, this time CDS result is declared in record breaking time, earlier it used to take months but this time it was delivered to aspirants within a month. .

We posted the CDS result of PIB earlier and informed candidates about it, we asked candidates to wait for the UPSC to publish the result but few were saying that the CDS 1 2017 result posted by PIB is fake and UPSC will publish the final result and it will be completely different. Even few candidates confirmed that they had a talk with UPSC and UPSC said they are still checking the papers. But finally all rumours are kept aside and here is the comparison between PIB and UPSC result of CDS 1 2017.

Observations:

  • Most of the roll numbers are same.
  • Very Few candidates who had roll numbers in PIB result is missing in UPSC result and vice versa. This is told to us by candidates only, if you are one of them kindly comment below. We tried finding some missing roll numbers but didn’t get any. Result seems to be 99% similar.
  • UPSC and PIB results might have minute variation but overall it is the same. 666 2

A flight lieutenant was caught stealing a wallet from a CSD canteen in Mumbai on CCTV cameras and has been court-martialled by the Indian Air Force for the petty theft worth Rs 531.

The incident had happened when the officer (name withheld) – who gets a salary of around Rs 65,000-70,000 per month – visited the CSD canteen in the Madh Island air force base in Mumbai in February 2013 to buy something and stole one of the two black wallets kept there, an IAF officerl told Mail Today.

The theft of the wallet could not be detected by the canteen officers for two days and an investigation into the matter had started when one of the wallet covers was found lying empty, they said.

“When the CCTV footage was checked, it was observed that the officer of the rank of Flt Lt had picked up the wallet and put it in his rear trouser pocket for concealing it from canteen staff, and after that, he was attached for trial by the authorities concerned,” said the officer.

The General Court Martial also found him guilty and recommended him to be severely reprimanded, pay back Rs 531 as the cost of the wallet stolen by him to the unit and also forfeit one-year service for the purpose of promotion.

However, the then Air Force chief took a lenient view of the case and removed the loss of seniority from his punishment but the officer decided to approach the Armed Forces Tribunal to get the proceedings against him to be quashed completely.

In the tribunal, the judges watched the CCTV footage before deciding the case. The bench headed by AFT chairman Justice Virender Singh found him not only indulging in theft but also trying to conceal his act.

It said it supported the decision taken by the IAF whose chief had already applied his mind in the case and given relief to the officer.

Inspiring Story Of Smt Bimla Rana And Her Daughter Lt. Meenakshi Rana

0

It is a true and a very inspiring story of a Veer Nari Smt Bimla Rana w/o Late Lance Naik Inder Rana of 6 Kumaon Regiment. The brave heart was martyred during Kargil operations. The Veer Nari was only 21 years old then with two daughters and a son. The eldest Meenakshi was all of six years old. The second daughter Ritu was just 2 1/2 years old and the youngest son Kuldip was only a year and a half. The Veer Nari did not get any support from her inlaws and other relatives. She had no place to stay with her three young children. She had no wherewithal to look after her children or educate them.

The Kumaon Regiment runs a War Widows’ Hostel at the Regimental Centre at Ranikhet. She approached the Centre Commandant for accommodation in the hostel which was immediately accepted. Smt Bimla Rana started to recreate her and her children’s life. She put Meenakshi in the Govt School at Ranikhet. Meenakshi started her education in this Hindi Medium School. She always used to say _”Mein fauj men jaaoonga_. _Mein fauji banoonga_.” This used to have a strange effect on Smt Bimla Rana. She used to imagine Meenakshi as a L/Nk of 6 KUMAON like her late husband. Little did she realise that fate had much more in store for her and her children. Meenakshi kept nurturing her ambition of joining the Army. Smt Bimla Rana would cry in isolation how could a girl become a Sepoy. Being uneducated she was unaware of the Women Entry Scheme.

One day in a Veer Nari Welfare Meet she discussed her problem with the Centre Commandant’s wife. The Centre Commandant’s wife arranged a meeting with her husband. The Commandant explained the details of the Women Entry Scheme to her and said that to achieve this Meenakshi needed to study in an English Medium School. Smt Bimla Rana was taken aback by this information. How could a poor uneducated widow afford to get her daughter educated in an English Medium School? But the resolve of Meenakshi kept on motivating her. Meenakshi was an intelligent student. After she completed her fifth class Smt Bimla Rana with the help from the then Centre Commandant got the application for admission of Meenakshi in Ashok Hall Girls Residential School in Ranikhet. This proved to be a turning point in the life of Smt Bimla Rana and her children.Lt. Meenakshi Rana 3

Meenakshi being intelligent, cleared her admission test and got admission in Ashok Hall Girls Residential School. She completed her 12th with 90 percent marks and decided to do her graduation from DU. She applied for SRCC and got admission there. After completing her B Com from DU she applied for the Women Entry Scheme and got through in the first attempt. After completing her training at Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai, she got commissioned in the Army Ordnance Corps.

Today I met Lt Meenakshi Rana at Kumaon Regimental Centre with her proud mother, her younger sister Ritu Rana who is pursuing Hotel Management from Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Kufri, Shimla and her brother Kuldip Rana who is pursuing his B Sc from Hansraj College, New Delhi. I share this inspiring story of a Veer Nari as a tribute to her and salute her. May her story inspire all Veer Naris. May Lance Naik Inder Rana’s soul Rest in Peace. I am sure he must be smiling sitting fully satisfied with his family’s achievements. If you liked this story and feel that it is worth sharing, please do so and let the world know about the firm resolve of this bravest of the brave Veer Nari to settle her and her children’s lives.

Cleared SSB Interview 5 Times To Join Indian Armed Forces

Warm greetings  friends! My name is VIVEK SURAJ  and I am writing this article with a hope that my experience at SSB would help few.

Being  a “ fauzi brat “ it was always my aspiration to serve  in armed forces but was not that serious till my last year of college. My journey started when I attended campus interview for UES NAVY entry in Oct 2015. I took guidance from my brother and started preparing from book and through internet. I wanted to have utmost confidence so joined a coaching academy in Delhi which helped me a lot to know myself more. Few of my friends have great participation in my success specially VIVEK GAUR and VIKAS KUMAR with whom I use to practice a lot. We used to utilize the leisure time in college For GD, practicing psychological test and mock interviews.

After all these I attended total of 9 SSB’s –

  • TGC 123 : Screened out, Bangalore ( Feb 16 )
  • UES NAVY ( PILOT ) : Recommended, Bangalore but medically unfit
  • SSC TECH 47 : Conference out, Bangalore
  • AFCAT : Conference out, Mysore
  • TGC 124 : Screened out, Allahabad
  • SSC TECH 48: Recommended, Allahabad
  • NAVY GSX : Recommended, Bhopal
  • NCC SPL ENTRY 41 : Recommended, Bangalore
  • TGC 125 : Recommended, Bhopal ( Feb 17 )

First of all it is very important to understand what really SSB is.

It is a battery of tests process through which personality of a person is judged. So there is no chance for someone to fake or to pretend to be someone else. The only thing which will help you out is to know yourself best and work on your personality.Cleared SSB Interview 5 Times To Join Indian Armed Forces 1

Few things will surely help, if you acquire them in your daily schedule –

  • Get out of your comfort zone. Start working on areas where you lack. Work on your GK, good knowledge always boost confidence. Be a early riser work on your fitness. Try To be calm and composed whenever you are handling a stressful work.
  • Develop habit of reading. Reading newspaper and novel provides knowledge as well as awareness. Novels of Robin sharma are best to start with, it guides in developing good personality and increases creativity also.
  • Have best people around you. Friends having same ambition would be better. Give yourself some alone time to scan your day like what all activities you did, how did you utilize your spare time, how was your behaviour with others and evaluate it.
  • Inculcate new hobbies not just to fill PIQ but to be more productive. It may be reading, yoga, meditation running etc but should be a productive one. Once you start enjoying your hobbies you won’t even know when it got into your daily routine.ssb recommended 5 times

These things will help to build good personality, but it is also critically important how  you project yourself during SSB. First thing, try to avoid taking guidance from others everytime. It will confuse you more and stop your creativity and you will lose originality of yours. So don’t mess up in your early attempts and realising it later.

Things which may help:

Psychology test-

  • WAT: never attempt this test with certain themes in your mind. Observe the picture carefully such as emotions, wearings, background and activity and then create a suitable situation involving all these.
  • It is not necessary that there should be some problem in the story it can be anything like get-together, celebration trip etc what I mean is to make what you see first.
  • Creating best themes is not important but a simple story with more logical approach and a practicle solution would be better.
  • never avoid anything in the picture it is been kept only to check how you accept the problem and make a story related to it.
  • Try to show behaviour and character of the hero through his activities and not by mentioning words.
  • Show the emotions of the characters towards other people in story which many never do.
  • WAT: You can practice it through apps with time.
  • Frame your sentences and write it down, but it must be your own thought and observation.
  • SRT: restrict your responses to maximum 1.5 lines.
  • SD: Prepare it prior to SSB. It need deep thinking to write about yourself, so it will save your time. Be truthful and also mention your weaknesses based on your quality traits so that accessor will scale you on those basis.

INTERVIEW:

Interviewer gets to know about you very well. Things which I have already mentioned earlier in the article will give an good impact on interviewer that you really work on your personality. specially for repeaters he seek for the changes a person has brought in his life.

  • Go prepared with those so called rapid round questions which consist of your academics, your lifestyle, family, work, hobbies and co curricular activities.
  • Get an good idea what went wrong in your previous attempts.
  • Be cool and calm through out the interview don’t put yourself in unnecessary stress by thinking what interview is thinking about you through your replies.
  • Be concise and give to the point replies, beating around the bush will not help you.
  • Taking stands on your views is good but you must understand sometimes he contradicts your point to let you know that you are wrong on your side so you must accept your fault if you feel he is making more sense.
  • Know yourself well, self awareness will surely impress him.

GTO TASKS –

  • Good GK and awareness will give you a upper hand.
  • Take active participation in GD not bothering how many times you have spoken but more listening.
  • Appreciate others ideas if you find logical.
  • Help others to put their point but only when they are struggling to get an chance and it should be a genuine one.
  • If you find yourself confident in PGT then don’t hesitate to come up, being closer to the structure will help you to understand the problem more.
  • Always ask your groupmates before implementing any idea in PGT. It will build good relation with other.
  • If GTO scolds your team for some cause, make sure you don’t repeat such mistakes further.
  • Perform all tasks with same enthusiasm and complement your teammates after completion of each task rather than discussing the mistakes.
  • GTO task will be a cake walk only if u stop considering it as competition.

SSB will get easy only if you start enjoying the process of building your personality. One last thing “don’t give  up on your dream if you think you can make it, respect your time zone sometimes it tests your perseverance! “ . With this I am signing off and going to join OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY through SSC TECH 48 in April and will also look for TGC 125 merit list.

Good luck to all defence aspirant! JAI HIND!
