Military As A Career: A Self Assessment Tool is a R&D endeavor from Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR) which will help the youth to do a self-assessment on the web and know their potentiality to become an Officer in the Indian Armed Forces. The tool does not dissuade anybody from applying to Armed Forces except for giving an indication towards the candidate’s potentiality for the job. The process would help prospective applicants to make up their mind for choosing the right career.
General Instructions
This tool consists of three tests. The first test will measure your cognitive ability, which consists of 20 multiple-choice questions. Each question has five choices and you have to click on the correct answer from the given choices. You will be given 15 minutes for this test.
The other two tests are related to your temperament and personality aspect. The temperament subtest comprises of 21 statements and personality subtest consists of 27 statements. Each statement in these tests has five options ranging from “strongly agree” to “strongly disagree”. You have to click on the option that is true to yourself. There are no right or wrong answers, therefore, be honest while responding to the statements. Don’t waste much time on any statement, be spontaneous while responding to them.
