But he got a surprise for his nation before stepping back to India. In an agreement Bangladesh allowed Indian cargo ships to use Chittagong port (China backed port) and Mongla port in Bangladesh. This agreement was under decisions and was to be signed in 2011 but got delayed as Bangladesh backed out to sign it due to the issue of Tessa agreements. This will not only help civilian vessels to stay but will also make India fearless from Chinese influence on Dhaka.
Chittagong port was one of the port that was included in the String of Pearls project that is launched to revive silk route in Aisa. The string of pearl includes Gwadar in Pakistan, Hambantota in Srilanka, Marao in the Maldives, and Kyaukpyu and Sittwe in Myanmar. According to Indian perception, China is building ports around Indian boundary to dominate the water of India. This perception got another reason to bother when a Chinese submarine surfaced in Sri Lankan port. HAL Tejas: First India Made Light Combat Aircraft. Indian Air Force has been playing a crucial role in national defense and strengthening security. IAF had conducted many exercises and also gave best support in operation whether it be Op. Megh Rahat of Jammu and Kashmir flood, Op. Maitri for Nepal earthquake or it be Operation Lehar in Andhra Pradesh for Hudhud affected people. Indian Air Force is performing best of it in empowering its fleet and also getting government’s help in getting new and enhanced technology for future use. India’s MiG-21 and MiG-21 Bison are the aging jets that need to be replaced with new ones. Currently Indian Air Force have 34 squadron rather it needs 44 to combat with full strength. India’s emerging indigenization and desire to escalate the development rate lead to the birth of a new fighter –TEJAS LCA (Light Combat Aircraft).
Tejas is a light weight, smallest, supersonic, multirole aircraft. Currently Tejas is 65% indigenous and developers are thinking to increase it to 75%, as per the sources. DRDO is developing a new engine for LCA named Kaveri. It is undergoing trails in Russia and will be brought back to India after final testing. Indian government gave nod for its production in 2009 and its 1st flight of two prototypes was done in the same year. Hot weather trails were taken in 2010 for testing its performance at a temperature of 45degrees.
It took DRDO several years and talented minds to design and develop this aircraft. DRDO is developing Tejas in 4 types
Well Tejas is the 2nd aircraft made by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). It is a multi-role combat aircraft which is of 4+ generation. The main purpose of its production seems to be its replacement with MiG-21 and MiG-21 Bison, which are well known as flying coffins. The complete digital fly by wire system which improves its handling and gives it a star on ratings. The highest tested speed of LCA is 1.6 Mach but theoretically it has a speed of 1.8 Mach.The aircraft can be armed with air-to-air, air-to-ground and anti-ship missiles, precision-guided munitions,

The highly maneuverable feature of LCA is a bit tough to compare with others, but high specifications needs more attention. Single seat and single engine are the feature to bother about.
DRDO is on the move to develop Tejas Mark-II, which is expected to be a 5th generation jet with stealth capability and will have more feature then Mark-I. The outer surface will be made of radar absorbing material that will absorb the waves and avert their reflection back to the radar. The expected flight trails of Mark-II is scheduled in 2017. Tejas Mark-II will symbolize Indian Air Force’s muscles and will compete with other nation’s jets. Currently only USA is operating 5th generation jet F22 which is becoming a burden on their budget. That’s why they stopped its production in 2012.

Indian army has published the 10+2 TES 33 merit list where total 71 candidates have cleared the SSB interview and 56 cleared their medical exams and declared as fit to join the training. Candidates will be getting their TES 33 course joining instruction soon.
India’s one of the biggest achievement that made India enter in the list of biggest inventions of 2014 is the MOM named as Mars Orbit Mission. India is the 4th country in the world that have reached Mars after Soviet space program, NASA and European space agency and first Asian nation to reach there.
It takes 14 minutes for signals to reach from ISRO to MOM and same 14 minutes to instruct MOM by ISRO.
The main aim of sending Mangalyaan on Mars was to determine the quantity of water in the martian atmosphere and it will surely help the scientists to know the history of Mars. Mangalyaan will also determine the level of methane on Mars. MOM has just 5 onboard instruments that will help it to examine the atmosphere of Mars. Its researchers will help in exploring the existence of life on that planet.
The Mars Orbiter Mission team won US-based National Space Society’s 2015 Space Pioneer Award in the science and engineering category.
In November 2014, Mangalyaan was mentioned in the best inventions of 2014 by Times Magazine. Mangalyaan was among the top 25 inventions of 2014, which cost less than the budget of award-winning movie “GRAVITY”.
On one hand, the mission got appreciation but simultaneously faced some criticism also from other nations and even Indian media and people. People saw it useless for the nation as they required that money spent on mission, to be used for other purposes to speed up the development rate. These activities must be left for developed countries who don’t have to worry about their nation’s development.

It is the first instance when Mangalyaan will get disconnected from the earth surface. Scientists have said that it will have no effect on the mission at all.

From Mangalyaan Mars Orbit Mission to Tejas and AMCA (which is under development) had taken India in the list of toppers of great minds.
INS Vikrant is an aircraft carrier that is indigenously built by India on Cochin shipyard for Indian Navy. Former Defense Minister A.K.Antony laid down the foundation stone of INS Vikrant in 2009 at Cochin Shipyard. It is 260 meters long and 60 meters wide. It has two takeoff runways and a landing strip with three arresters for safe landing. It can carry MiG-29 and indigenously built HAL Tejas LCA has also been tested on it. Helicopters like Kamov Ka-31, Westland Sea King, and HAL Dhruv can also be carried by Vikrant. After completion, Vikrant can carry 36 fixed wings jets. According to the sources, 30% of weaponry, 50% of the propulsion system and 90% of body work was done in India. Completely indigenous construction is never preferred by any country as it leads to a costly deal to build a warhead entirely by themselves. One of the elite features of this aircraft carrier is STOBAR with ski-jump, a technology which is only used by Russia and China in their aircraft carriers. This technology is a combination of short take-off and vertical landing and catapult assisted take-off but with arrested recovery (CATOBAR). But, unfortunately, there are few of its shortcoming too. Firstly, it leads to more stress on airframes of aircrafts and secondly, it only works for the jets which have high thrust to weight ration such as MiG-29K or Su-33, making it a gain and loss deal for INS Vikrant. 
Some types of over running funds and delay in construction were encountered in its production. But soon after Mr. Narendra modi took over as the new Prime Minister, the construction work was accelerated and a fund was allotted for uninterrupted development. India and U.S. are planning to sign cooperation in exchanging aircraft carrier technology.
INS Vikrant, the first of the two planned Vikrant class carriers, is recently undocked from Cochin shipyard. The second ship of the same class is assumed to be completely different from this ship. Its construction was completed in 2013 when it was launched after marking the completion of Phase 1. Its successful undocking marked the completion of Phase 2. It will undergo complete trails and testing phases before induction in Indian Navy. Basin trails and Sea trails will be done prior to its handing over to Navy. The successful construction and positive working of it enlisted India’s name in the list of an elite group of four nations namely US, UK, France and Russia.
Indigenization in the defense sector has made India self-dependent and also improved the status of India in recent years. India has a bit less (90-100) nuclear warhead as compared to 250 of China and 110 of Pakistan. And Indian Air force is also going through the shortage of squadrons. In that case, indigenous strengthening is necessary prior to the occurrence of any alarming stage for the nation.
Know Why Manohar Parrikar Is The Most Badass Defence Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose Mr. Manohar Parrikar as India’s defence minister a year ago, and since then Parrikar has proved to be one of the most upfront and pro-active ministers in the Modi cabinet. He is the first IITian to become a chief minister of an Indian state; yes, you heard that right – before Kejriwal. He also had Nandan Nilekani, co-founder and former CEO of Infosys, as a batchmate in that illustrious batch of IIT Bombay.
Manohar Parrikar was called for national duty when he was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be India’s next defence minister and he had to leave his family back in Goa. Moreover, Mr. Parrikar has maintained a clean image throughout his political career and that is what makes him one of the better and incorruptible ministers in the Modi cabinet.
Be it the Rafale Jet deal or the OROP implementation, Mr. Parrikar’s office has been extremely pro-active in handling crucial issues concerning national security.
Manohar Parrikar was known to travel by his bicycle to Goa Vidhan Sabha and refused all government benefits after becoming chief minister. He insisted on using his old Innova even after becoming CM.

I Got Recommended From 4 AFSB Varanasi For Meteorology Branch Of IAF. Day 1: Hello! My name is Akashdeep Singh currently pursuing M.Sc Physics from GNDU, Amritsar. I got recommended from 4 AFSB, Varanasi for Meteorology Branch of IAF on 28 Mar 2015. I want to share my SSB experience with all the aspirants who wish to join the armed forces.
We were the absentee batch as most of the people did not arrive on their first call. though I received the first call but that time due to university exams i was not able to attend the SSB. I reached MCO Varanasi at 6:30 am on 23 march. I saw a few people standing waiting for the IAF buses. I could feel the excitement in the air. In Excitement My heart-beat-rate must have clocked around 200 !! The fear of the unknown, I think is the most primitive of all our fears. The bus soon left for the selection board. Interestingly, the board was just at a drive of 3 minutes from the railway station. After breakfast we were allotted temporary chest numbers, mine was 13 (considered as unlucky in astrology). Then we were taken to the testing hall and after briefing, the Phase 1 of the testing procedure started.
Screening
Officer Intelligence Rating Test: In my opinion no former practice is needed in this test. It needs just basic intelligence. Having Cleared IBPS exam twice before, this test was not really an issue. I solved 42 verbal and 47 nonverbal out of sets of 50 questions each. Time given was around 30 min. Good score in this test improves the chances of clearing the phase 1.
Picture Perception and Description Test :
The hazy picture was shown.we had to observe the picture for 30 seconds and thereafter 4 minutes were allowed to write the story. I wrote the story about a group of students on a trekking being stranded in a land slide evacuated by their senior. During the discussion, I realized that my story was completely different to others’. I didn’t bothered too much with pushing my story but just ensured that I make important inputs in the group story. In any case, I went ahead and spoke at least 4 times. Important point in the discussion is be co-operative, don’t fight for bandwidth and do agree to people’s inputs in the story.
Soon after the discussion, results of phase 1 were declared and 69 candidates were screened in out of 171. we were now allotted different chest numbers. my chest no was 3 this time. After that our Educational documents were verified and PIQ ( Personal information questionnaire) form was given. We were free at 6 in the evening.
Day 2 (psychology Tests)
First test was TAT (Thematic appreciation test). In this test, 12 pictures were shown one by one and we were asked to write a story based on these. First picture appeared for 30 seconds and thereafter 4 minutes were allowed to write the story. After 4 minutes second picture appeared for 30 secs and it went on like that for 12 pictures. The last picture was a blank slide. I wrote simple stories relating them to my personal life. no exceptional acts of bravery or self sacrifice was shown.
In Word Association Test we were shown 60 words one by one. Each word was shown for 15 seconds on the screen. Within that 15 seconds we are to see the word and write a sentence thus not allowing any time to think, which makes us unable to mask the responses and our natural self will come out before the psychologist. I attempted about 50.
Then in Situation Reaction Test we were given 60 real life situations on a booklet for which we had to write our response to those situations. I attempted 45 situations out of them. The key point here is to Provide sensible solutions, do not exaggerate the situation.
Then there after I wrote SD (Self-Description) test. Here we had to write what our parents, teachers, friends, colleagues and we think of ourselves and what kind of person we would like to become. It sounds easy but needed to be written carefully. I wrote everything honestly and truly.
The key here in the psychology tests is don’t pretend to be a person which you are not. Try to answer everything relating it to your own personality so there may not be a personality conflict. In my opinion what you write in psychology tests, what you speak in Interview and your actions during Group Tasks must match. So honesty will be the best policy at least in this case. This ended our psychology test series and we were free for the rest of the day.
Day 3 & 4 (Group Tests)
Next two days were spent with GTO (Group Testing Officer). It was first chance to make an impression on the officer. I think I utilized it well. The tests those had to be covered in GTO. series were as follows:
Our GD went quite good everyone gave their points sensibly and no fish-market like scene was created. GPE went alright. In the progressive group task We were able to clear only 2 obstacles . My Command Task and Lecturette went very well.
As a whole i think I performed reasonably well in all the tasks except the Individual Obstacle race where i could complete only 3 Obstacles out of 10 in the allowed 3 minutes. Anyhow, GTO series completed. Our group decided for bookout and we explored the Varanasi City that day.
Day 5 (Interview)
This was the Interview day. My Interview was Scheduled at at 7:30 in the morning. It went on for about 55 minutes. Most of the questions asked were personal and from day to day life. Other questions asked were:

Many Other questions from current scientific developments were asked. As a Whole Interview went very good as I answered all the questions confidently.
Day 6 (Conference and Results)
The day of results had come. I had a normal meal and got dressed in formals and was ready for my conference. I did not have to wait long.The conference started at about 11:30 am and I was the third to go in.I went in confidently and wished the President of our board.It was a different experience to face about 15 officers all together dressed in complete uniform.Our DSO asked me How would you rate your performance. I answered 6 on the scale of 10 as there is always a scope of improvement. A couple of more questions and I was off for the day. My conference lasted for near around 2 min and I was then asked to leave. All that time I remained cheerful. The time then came for the results.After the Conference was over a our DSO came and announced the results after a small briefing and a closing address. He said like this “So those who have been recommended are chest no: 3(me)and 52″. It was a defining moment of my life. I thanked God and proceeded towards form filling. I am done with my medical now and waiting for the final merit list. I want to wish all the aspirants BEST OF LUCK.
I Got Recommended In My 10th Attempt For TGC 121 Army. Hello, all ssb aspirants! My name is Rahul Singh. It was since childhood I had an attachment towards defence forces as my father was a chief petty officer in INDIAN NAVY. It all started with the 02/2011 afcat when I was in final year of my b.tech, I got conference out in my first attempt from 4 AFSB Varanasi in Jan2012, frankly speaking, I was very sad, didn’t speak to my parents for 2 long days, I was not ready to accept this failure, well then started the journey of 2.5 long years of struggle, hardship and patience, I appeared again for afcat but ws not able to clear the written, then applied for SSC tech entry of army, not shortlisted in that too, meanwhile I was placed in Wipro and I joined it in Pune. From this point I starting applying in all the entries of three services, got conf. out in tgc117 from 21ssb Bhopal, then cleared CDS, got conference out in that too from 17ssb Bangalore in dec 2013, this started the chain of getting conf. out and it really scared me as I thought that getting conf. out again n again denotes that I am seriously lacking something, for a second I started doubting myself, am I really worth for it? With the help of SSBCRACK and other pages on FB, I analysed the process of ssb, read various experiences of recommended candidates on SSBCrack, It really helped me a lot. There was a time when I thought of QUITTING, but I was so much attracted to this elite organisation that I can’t let it go this way, so I continued my journey, my parents supported in each failure of mine, they always kept boosting my confidence. Then came my 9th attempt for navy, I was sure this time of getting through and, as a result, my conference went long as I was a borderline, but again bad luck, got conference out but it gave me a sense of motivation that I am somewhat closer than yesterday. Then comes my final attempt, it was my 10th attempt and again was called at Bhopal for TGC121. I didn’t prepare anything as I don’t think it was needed (10th attempt :D). I just went with the flow of SSB, performed equally well in all the three techniques, but even after the conference, I was not at all sure that the officer will be announcing my chest no. , but when he announced chest no. 39, I was numb, I was not able to react, the officer again n again asked my name n roll no. and I simply continued staring him for no reason, then after a minute I replied him, I can’t even express the feelings, the only thing I want to say is that friends never ever give up on ur dreams, if u are sincerely making ur efforts, GOD is watching, and you will definitely get that! After that, I cleared medicals too and now I got the merit in for TGC 121, will be joining the academy on 7th July 2015.

He was retiring this year as an honorary captain and while standing in front of the mirror, while wearing his ARMY coat, I thought to myself that I will try my best to continue this. Father retiring as a Captain and son starting as a Captain. I boarded the Swarn Shatabdi from Jalandhar City to NDLS. My connecting train was at night, so I went to my friends at Delhi to enjoy. I boarded the train at night. My train reached the Bangalore city station at 0830 I changed to formals and met my UG classmates. The arrival of the army bus to take us to the SSB centre was at 1400hrs. Outside the station, there were about 100 students. Few were in formals and few were in casuals. Army bus arrived at the station with the conference out candidates. After getting in the bus, we headed through the city to SSB centre. As soon as I got down from the bus, I got little emotional as my father had given his SSB through SCO 26 years ago, but met with leg sprain on day 4(GTO) (That’s why he gave me good sole Nivea shoes for my SSB instead of PT canvas shoes).
Then we filled our PIQ form and travel allowance and got chest numbers. After receiving our travel allowance, we headed towards our dormitory. White bedsheets with white pillow covers were on the beds. We took little luggage out as tomorrow it was screening test, which meant in or out. I couldn’t sleep properly as the candidate next to my bed was snoring. Somehow I slept and got up at 0445 in the morning, got fresh, shaved properly, got into formals and took my luggage to reporting area.
DAY 1
Verbal and Non-verbal tests.
We sat according to our chest numbers for the test. The test seemed easy for me and in my opinion I did more than 90% correct. Here about 60 questions, 30 mins are allotted but as there is no wrist watch allowed or any wall clock, time flies away at double the pace.

PPDT.
We were given instructions for the test. The picture shown to us was very blurry. I saw one man like Salman Khan ( Of Ek tha Tiger) with a gun. I perceived that he is in some special forces, so made a story that Arjun was a resident of the border area. He saw infiltration rate at rise, so he decided to join Army. He worked hard, asked his already joined friends, gave SSB and cleared it. After that he joined special forces. “Now he is posted in Akhnoor sector and serving the nation”.

After this, we were given refreshment break of about 10 mins and then we were called back for group discussion. A group of 15 students each were called into different rooms. We sat in a semi-circle. I was at the middle and in front of us were 2 Psychologists and 1GTO.

All of us started our stories individually. We were given approx 45 seconds to narrate our story. When it came to me, I started by greeting my group members and begun my story and completed it in approx 40 sec.

NOTE: – I saw a few candidates with beard and pony tails. This doesn’t look good. Although I don’t think this affects your selection but this doesn’t look good. As they are expecting to choose gentlemen for Army, be a gentleman. Clean shave, combed hair and formals will add to your personality.
After our individual stories, we were asked to discuss amongst ourselves and arrive at a common story. As soon as the officer said start, I took the lead and said that out of 15 candidates, at least 8 have made stories on defence background, so let us all discuss on that.. few candidates agreed with me and few didn’t. After this a fish market begun. I tried to calm down the situation, but nobody listened, so I kept quite and smiled looking the chaos. We couldn’t arrive at a common story and we were asked to leave.
TIPS FOR GD:
after lunch, we were again called back for the screening results. Out of 84 candidates, 22 got in. We were given new chest numbers. This time I got number ‘3’. We selected picked our luggage and went back to our dormitory with the smile on face as if this was the final selection. To our surprise, the bedsheets had changed from dull white to flowered ones<LOL>. Many of the candidates in our room were reading sample stories. I ate my dinner and slept quietly as I didn’t want to stuff my mind with stories in books. I wanted every story be a geniune product of my mind.

DAY 2
After breakfast, we assembled and headed towards the testing rooms. A booklet with spaces for TAT, WAT, SRT and SD was provided to each candidate. Instructions were given.
TEST 1. TAT- Thematic Apperception Test
Total 12 slides shown. 11+ 1(blank). I made stories mostly related to innovation and my life. The blank story was also related to innovation.
TEST 2. WAT- WORD ASSOCIATION TEST

TEST 3. SRT- SITUATION REACTION TEST
You are provided a question booklet in which situations are given and you have to write your responses in the booklet provided. For 60 SRT you get 30 mins. Here i did about 53 SRT.
TEST 4. SD- SELF DESCRIPTION
For SD, I had already prepared along with my family, friends and teachers. I wrote simple things like my parents send me for railway reservations, bank work, arraanging home functions , which were true and reflected myself..
TIPS:
I was called for interview after this. I went to my room as i had time and got into my best clothes and went happily for interview.
INTERVIEW: It was a great experience for me as it was my first interview. As a Army brat, i was comfortable with my interviewing officer. He asked me questions about my life, my education, my family, my hobbies, my religion and many more things. When i came out of the interview, everyone said that it was the longest and it was for more than an Hour. I didnt feel the time inside as i was comfortable. ONLY ONE TIP: JUST BE HONEST. DONT LIE EVEN A SINGLE POINT. JUST SPEAK YOUR HEART OUT, COZ THEY DONT WANT LIARS FOR ARMY.
DAY 3. GTO TASK-1 ( ADRENALIN RUSH)
This is the most exciting day for all of us, as the tasks were outdoor. We got into our nickers, white t-shirts, shoes and white socks and headed towards the GTO area. We were divided into group of 8 each. Then we were adrressed by the GTO. The officer had a charasmatic personality with Ray Ban aviators, Enfield Jacket and royal Enfield Thunderbird.
TASK 1. GROUP DISCUSSION
Topic a- The youth today are unemployable.
Topic b- something related to food saftey.
We were asked to choose between the topics for discussion. Here i took the lead and said that, as we all are students, it directly relates to us. All the candidates agreed with me.
TIPS
I spoke 5-6 times on the leads and gave examples related to my college life and life experience.
TOPIC 2: The menance of stray dogs is increasing day by day. How to reduce it.
As we all were veterinary doctors, this topic was related to us. Everyboday gave good points. I gave one point in this discussion, which in my opinion was valuable. Everyone agreed to the point of adopting the strays and not buying breed dogs. Even the GTO was impressed because later he said that even he has 2-3 breed dogs.
TASK 2. GROUP PLANNING EXERCISE
We sat in a semi circle and the map board was in front of us. The gto explained us the map and narrated the story. The he gave us the story to read for few minutes. The we were given 10 minutes to write the story. I completed my plan in the given time frame. Then the GD begun. I gave in a few ideas and tried to assemble everones points in a sequence. At some point a candidate suggested to send one person in jeep with the injured. At that time i said” my father is in Army and he says Army never send one man on a task alone. Everyone agreed to my point, but we couldn’t arrive at a definate plan.
TASK 3. PROGRESSIVE GROUP TASK
Now the actual ground tasks begun. We were taken to the testing area and shown the obstacles. There was a set of 4 obstacles. GTO explained us the rules.
NOTE:- LISTEN CAREFULLY TO EACH RULE AS THEY WILL BE APPKLICABLE EVERYWHERE FOR NEXT DAY ALSO.
As the GTO asked us to start, we began. But as the candidates were more, it was difficult to exicute ideas. I tried to give in few ideas, which were workable.
TASK 4. SNAKE RACE
We were divided into group of 11 candidates each. We were briefed about the task. I was in group 1 and we were asked to shout a war cry for our group. As soon as the GTO asked for war cry, n one said anything. Then i shouted my lungs out “BHARAT MAATA KI ” and everyone at once shouted “JAI”. I chose this as war cry because its the war cry of my father’s regiment JAKLI. Then the race begun at the count of 10. We had different obstacles in between. I kept on shouting the war cry throughout the task, helped other candidates to get over walls by pushing or pulling them.
THIS IS TO SEE YOUR LIVLINESS, TEAMWORK AND COOPERATION, SO BE ENERGETIC THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE RACE.
TASK 5. HALF GROUP TASK.
Again the group was divided into 8 each. Whwn our HGT begun, out of 6 total ideas, i gave maximum ideas.

TASK 6. LECTURETTE
We were aske dto sit in semi-circle and one by one asked to answer the following:
NOTE:- I thought to myself that this actress thing in between has definately something to do. I was right and it was needed in one of the Individual obstacles.
Then one by one we got up for lecturette. Total 3 mins. Bell rings at 2:30, the candidate giving the lecture gets alert that only 30 secs remaining and the candidate preparing gets to know that after 30 secs he has to deliver. So its a cycle.
When my cance came, I went with my card. It had 4 topics. First topic was INDO-US relations. I could speak on it but the topic next to it caught my eye. It was changing weather pattern. I started preparing my topic. When i came to deliver the lecture, I greeted everyone and started my topic by giving the sub-headings.
I ended my topic in time and only 3-4 secs were remaining.
TIPS
After this the day ended for a new beginning and I was happy and satisfied with my performance. We all went out to market and malls. As it was Lohri that day, we all had food together. After dinner we slept to refresh ourselves for next day.
DAY 4- GTO 2
It was a new day and new set of exciting tasks were waiting for us.
After breakfast we reached the GTO area. Our GTO came after a while on his Royal enfield TB. We did a little warm up before the tasks. We were then taken to the I.O area.
TASK 1. INDIVIDUAL OBSTACLES
We were explained each and every obstacle. Each obstacle had a number next to it, carrying scattered equal marks. There were 10 obstacles scattered randomly. We were given the choice to start from any place and repeat the tasks again if once all have been performed succesfully.
TIPS
When my chnace came, I ran and stood at obstacle no. 10. As the GTO blew whistle, I started. In the commando tower, while climbing the ladder, I accidently touched a red line. i honestly got down, took few steps back and again started with the task. As the GTO blew whistle at 2:30, i had completed all the tasks. I still had 30 seconds with me. I again did Commando tower and Burma bridge. So i did a total of 12 obstacles in 3 mins.
TASK 2. COMMAND TASK
We sat in as emi circle and the command task area was behind us. We were briefed about the task by the GTO. We were called one by one randomly for the command task. I was called twice to be sub-ordinate. When i was called for the task, my GTO asked me few questions that despite having a defence background, why I didnt try for NDA. I honestly replied that I had less marks in maths in 10th and I couldn’t clear the exam.
The GTO briefed me the task. To my surprise i was given a different helping material. One FATTA, one BALLI and one TRIANGLE instead of the usual rope. I thought to myself “BETA YOU CAN DO IT”. Then i called my 2 sub-ordinates and briefed theem the details briefed to me by my GTO. Then i gave an overall look to my task and begun by asking my sub-ordiantes to pick up the material and start by placing it wherever i was telling them to put.The task was no doubt difficult but i did it with ease. I gave about 6-7 ideas at one place. Then the GTO asked me few more ideas at a differnt obstacle. He said what if that point becomes red, what if I remove that. I was ready with ideas as soon as the GTO asked me. My GTO got impressed with me and sai ‘EXCELLENT COMMANDEER EXCELLENT’. I thanked my sub-ordinates and went back.
TASK 3. FINAL GROUP TASK
As all the members were together again, it created a mess. I gave in a few ideas but nobody listened and someone even snatched helping materrial from my hand.I gave in a few good ideas at the end and they were helpful.
DAY 5- CONFERENCE DAY
We all got up. As it was d-day , it was obvious that all werelittle nervious. We dressed up in the best dresses we had and assembled at the reporting area. We were then taken to the Conferencce hall to show how it looks like. After a while the conference began. One by one candidates went in according to their chest numbers. I went in, wished the board President and then I was asked by my Interviewing officer to sit down. I thanked him and sat comfortably on the chair.

A= Sir it was wonderfull. It was a learning experience for me.

A= sir i learnt team spirit, how to work in a team and how to work under stress conditions keeping your mind calm.

Then the results were declared and when my chest number was called, I felt like I’m in some differnt world and my dream has come true. I was given a new chest number which had a PLUS + on it showing that I was recommended. This followed the medical tests from which i was declared medically fit. My training begins next month.
