SSC -39 SSC-10 Technical Cut Off Percentage Army

ssc39+ssc10+cut+off
Today official website of Indian Army declared the important notification for SSC-39 Men and SSC-10 Women technical SSB Interview Cut off marks/percentage. Candidates should follow this notice before going for SSB Interview. Surprisingly this time there is a cut off kept the for SSC-30 and SSC-10th technical Army.I think the cut off is very high for Women technical which is 75%, though it will reduce the competition level also and helps the army to manage this entry in a well manner.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (TECHNICAL)-10 FOR WOMEN

You should in possession of all Semester/year wise independent marks sheets BE / B Tech. Present minimum cummulative cut off % for final year appearing women candidates upto VI semester is 75% and for those who have completed BE Degree minimum cummulative % upto VI/VIII  semester should be 75%. Please withhold your move if your minimum cummulative % is less than as stated above. You will be returned back without undergoing SSB interview on the day of reporting if your stream of engg is different from that advertised for SSCW(TECH)-39 or your minimum cummulative % is less as specified above. For any querries contact 011-26175473.

Conclusion :

I feel it is slightly unfair for the potential candidates who are having less marks, we all know that higher % in academics is not a very important factor for becoming  a good officer, 66% for Men and 75% of Women ?? I am really not able to figure out why and how, on what basis ??  I hope Army will take some inspiration from IAF and will conduct a test like AFCAT in near future with less cut of marks and percentage, to get the potential candidates with OLQs .

What do you say about this decision of Indian Army ?? Write your comments below.

  1. sir, i am nominated for ssb interview pc(log). i’m bca holder, i did not added tamil and english marks for total percentage. is there any problem?

by default we did not take language marks for our percentage calculation.

    what’s about ssb?

  2. Sir ,i have appeared for UES-23 of Indian Army, i had given campus interview in my college that is preliminary stage my interview went quite good ,i am in electrical engg in pre final year my btech agregate is only 50 percent ,do i have any chance of getting call for SSB interview? ,as it is mentioned in UES -23 advertisent ,prelimainary selection will be based on campus interviews .

    • MR. MANISH TGC(IMA) STRAIGHT AWAY. PC AND MANY MORE BENEFITS, SAME AS UES. UES AND TGC ARE ALSO CALLED “LAKH-TAKIA” ENTRY IN IMA. AND ALSO IT DEPENDS ON ASPIRANT WHAT HE WANT.

    • depending upon number of candidates applied they may consider engineering marks as well as physics and chemistry marks of 12th. . . But as it happened in previous course, they removed the percentage bar, and for TGC also they didn’t kept percentage bar so chillax and prepare for SSB. . . Also keep checking http://www.joinindianarmy.nic.in for more updates on shortlisting

  4. Hello Sir,
I got SSB interview letter for SSC(T)39 Course at Bangalore.
I am BE IT student. I have 2 queries about my candidature in interview.

Firstly, the cut off! I am so much confused about cut off marks.
Is there any kind of cut off marks limit? I have aggregate of 63% till sem 7. But still got letter from SSB! So should I attend the interview?

Secondly about online application form printout.
Is common form sufficient for same purpose?

  6. Hello Sir,
I got an email few days back and got physical mail today on 06-07-2012 with title of “SSB INTERVIEW: SSC(T)-39 COURSE ON 02 AUG 2012”.
They mentioned in mail that i have to bring a “print of online application” while reporting at Bangalore. And i don’t have any such printed copy. Can you please or any one else please suggest some solution?

    • There is no way you can download the application back again. Just go with other required docs. Tell them that you have missed it. Hope you have sent one application form to them.

  7. Sir, I am going for Indian Navy SSB next week. How important it is to know about all the ships and arms and ammunitions with the navy. Do they ask about it in the SSB.

  8. Hi all, i got confirmation from ADG Recruiting that cutoff has been removed.

So don’t lose hope…wait for new list which will update soon..be prepared and of course GET RECOMMENDED.

    ALL THE BEST

  9. This is not the right thing they had done. Same as other MNC’s Indian Army is also searching for the creamy layer. Npbady thinks about the average students. N with mars you can’t identify the ability of a person.

  10. Its’ would be vry disappointing to enthusiastic aspirant like us who are sweating our guts out to be a member of this elite organization to see this proposal materializing.
Marks can not determine our ability to keep enemies at bay or improvise new plans for it.
Army must understand before going ahead with setting criteria.

Engg. are also needed at the battle field when the call comes. They are not limited to technical stuffs.

  11. its very disheartning to see that army has made the 75 %percentage criteria…are they really looking people for recruiting as army officers or some academicians…rather they shud conduct an entrance test, suggested above by someone which could be like afcat and recruit such people who are deserving and determined to serve the nation….

  12. This is absolutely unfair,,,,i am a mechanical student from pune university. And gettin 75% is next to impossible… Pune university is soo strict…m sure there will be no student from here. Worst part i had cleared my SSCW(09) course but i couldnt join because my 8th sem hasnt git over yet…and now i am not even applicable for it.. This is just too depressing. And why such unfair cut off %tage among boys and girls?

    • Very disappointing to see discrimination on grounds of gender and specialisation in engineering.
Sad state….. an a wrong way adopted by the Rect. Dte to reduce their pressure of tackling so many applicants.

  13. Hi, I think this is unfair to the students who has potential to become a good and successful officer. I hope Indian Army will also think about the people or candidates who has not achieved required academic performances. I m rather more disappointed after seeing this message from INDIAN ARMY, was preparing for like 3-4 years quite seriously. Now i feel like a helpless guy nd i m sad cuz i know m not alone. I hope Indian Army will come up with the new idea. I know i m nothing but i want to suggest one. I WUD LIKE TO INFORM INDIAN ARMY THAT IF YOU PEOPLE CANT CHANGE THIS REQUIREMENT, THEN PLEASE CONDUCT SOME EXAM FOR PEOPLE HAVING LESS 66%, I KNOW ONLY THOSE PEOPLE WILL GET THROUGH THIS WHO ARE DESERVING. PLEASE THUMPS UP OR SHARE SO THAT INDIAN ARMY SITE WILL SEE IT!!! THANKS

  14. ths s really unfair for the students who have potential and y such a decision is taken at the time when students r expecting their ssb…such a decision takes away the hope of interested candidates…atleast a notice should have alerted before d application forms were out…it is really sad to say that army is also seeking for ITians…and not the ppl who have OLQ’S….

  15. That too when the Army is facing a high Officer crunch. Its to be decided if the Officer crunch is genuine or just a way of getting vacancy for re-employment for the retiring officers ?

    • totally agreed to your point made DAGGER IT guys should also be given a fair chance to join the army and serve the country and army..this kind of selection procedure will only increase the shortage of officers!!

  16. Hi,

Its also been seen that IT (information Technology) graduates are also not being taken into the Indian Army where in i have also learned that there are dedicated appointments like GS (IT) in the ARMY. Hence i feel that its highly unfair to deprive an individual from joining the Indian Army and serving the county only because he has an IT degree. Also its unfair of having removed IT from TGC and not from UES or Women Entry. How does it matter if an IT grad wont mind being in the fighting arm ?
Justice should be done to the IT grads instead of depriving them from joining the Army.

  17. Seems completely Unreasonable ..for universities which have very severe marking schemes …many skilled students from those have lost it ..this should not be a criteria at all

  18. Lol..Not even a Single Girl will Go for TGC/SSC Entries From Mumbai University..As far as Male Candidates are concerend..1 MIGHT Be going outta 100 who would have gone if there were no % Restrictions.

  19. very unfare 75 percent for girls……..sir u knw in mumbai university it difficult to get even 60 percent and army is putting 75 percent as cut off…sir there shukld be written examination and then student have to be selected percent nt mater its knowledge and ability mater……..

  20. sir I have done Msc computer science which is also applicable for TGC and SSC now a days. We had only semisters in our Two years of postgraduation and sem is Industrial training which mark is not include in result, So this cut of crietiria is applicable for us too or not? I have 63.93 % in post graduation and i had filled form for ssc 39 tech men, should i expect callup letter or not?

  21. indian army should come with better ideas to accommodate greater number of candidates rather than setting childish cut off limits in the name of competition.

  22. this new cut-off is a slap on the face of pune university students.has the indian army completely lost it? have they any idea how strict the marking system for pune university is? talent or courage doesn’t come with any percentage.rather than asking us to ‘withhold’ any move to come for ssb the army should withhold such cutoff limits.remember china is enlisting 10000 engg graduates into army.what are u guys doing with all d money from defense budgets? y cant u invest some of that money to build another IMA??

  23. sir, i want to confirm that what is minimum commulative percentage?
My overall commulative %age upto 6th sem is 69 but in first sem my commulative %age is 60, so does that mean that i am not elegible for ssc-39?

    • Let me tell you, if you have not completed your all sems or completed your graduation for both cut off is 66%. You just add all the sems you have till now, if it is 66% you are in.

    • This is very wrong,,,,,the % criteria system should have been given earlier in the advertisement(ssc or tgc),,,purely wrong system, this cannot be done !!!!
