Indian Armed forces, which consist of army, navy and Air Force are always named among the best forces. Records prove the strong Indian manpower coupled with skills and supported by weapons had always done what seems to be impossible. Air Force –Indian Air Force stands at number 4 in the list of strongest Air Force in the world following US, Russia and Israel at top 3 positions. With about 1.7 lakhs of personals and about 1500 aircraft, Indian Air Force stands ahead of the royal Air Force of the United Kingdom, China France and other nations. The Air Force was officially established in 1932. Its involvement in the war against China and Pakistan is always appreciated as a milestone in the history. Indian Air Force gave close support to Indian army during Kargil war using helicopter which helped the nation in stepping toward the victory.

Navy – Looking at the power in the waters, India gets placed in 7th rank in the powerful navies’ list. United States, Russia, china, Japan, United Kingdom and France are ahead of India in the list. The ranking is based on the naval power and weapons including aircraft carriers, vessels, destroyers, and corvettes etc. with nearly 58,000 personals, Indian navy has 155 warships and is on the way of manufacturing and procuring more to add more lustre to it.
Army – Indian Army again placed in 4th position at the best army rankings. The ranking shows the 1.3 million active personal with a 2.1 million reserve and 1.3 million paramilitary personals. United States, China and Russia are standing on top three positions. While nuclear power (90-100 in number) also judges the ranking.
