Joining the Indian Army is a matter of pride – both, for you and your family. A candidate aspiring to join the army should have robust physical and mental health and must be fit enough to undergo the stress and strain of military training and service.
One of the criteria for selection is the chest size and weight. But, the chest size and weight differs from people living in various regions. Though the chest size is almost the same for all, it must be expandable up to 5 cms. Here are the minimum chest and weight standards for candidates from various region of India:
