NDA 1 2018 Nationality:

The candidates must be a:

  • a citizen of India , or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 01 January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

  • NDA 1 2018 Age Limit:
    • (For NDA I 2018): Age – The age range for NDA 1 2018 is from 2ndJuly 1999 to 2nd July 2002. The actual date of birth mentioned in your matriculation certificate will be taken as final. No other certificate or affidavit will be accepted. The candidates must be unmarried and only male candidates are eligible for it.

    NDA 1 2018 Educational Qualifications:

    • For Indian Army wing of National Defence Academy: The candidates appearing for the exam must have passed or appearing class 12th from a recognized board or university.
    • For Air force and Indian Navy: The candidates must have passed or appearing class 12th with physics and Mathematics from a recognized board or university.

    NDA 1 2018 Exam Pattern

    The NDA exam consists of two papers: Mathematics and General ability test, below we have discussed both the papers in details.

    • Mathematics: The mathematics paper is of 300 marks and consist of multiple choice questions based on the syllabus of class 11th and 12th. The time allowed to write the paper is 2.5 hr.
    • General Ability: The General Ability test comprises of two section i.e. Section A and Section B. Section A is of English (200 marks) and Section B (400 marks) is of general knowledge.
    • The NDA 2016 admit card will be announced few weeks prior to the examination, in the official website of UPSC.
    • All the question are MCQ type and contain a negative marking for the wrong answers.

NDA 1 2018 Exam Tips

  • Revise NCERT text books in the last few days; this will help bring concept clarity
  • Class 12th books must be referred for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry sections and Class 10th books for Biology, Geography, History, Political Science, and Economics
  • Candidate must have the basic concept and clarity in order to score high in the Mathematics paper. It is expected to have both, complete the statement or to solve questions in Mathematics paper; so a candidate must prepare for both
  • Create a revision sheet for Mathematics. It should have important points and formulas in it
