India Lost Major M Pritam Singh in Siachen

Major M Pritam Singh of the Indian Army was laid to rest with complete military honors in his hometown of Luker, Imphal West, Manipur. The ceremony, attended by officials from both the military and civil administration, took place today. Major Singh passed away on April 3rd while serving in an operational area, as a result of climatic hazards.

In a heartfelt tribute to a fallen hero, the Siachen Warriors gathered in a somber ceremony at Hunder, Ladakh, to honor the memory of Major M Pritam Singh, who laid down his life in the service of the nation.

The wreath-laying event took place against the backdrop of the stark and unforgiving terrain of the Siachen Sector, where Major Singh made the ultimate sacrifice on April 3, 2024.
