Stage 2: SSB Interview

Candidates who clear the initial screening will be detailed to appear for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. The SSB interview is a comprehensive assessment that evaluates the candidatesโ€™ potential, personality, and suitability for a career in the Indian Army. Detailed instructions, including the date and place of the SSB, will be intimated directly by Dte Gen Recruiting, IHQ of MoD (Army).

Stage 3: Merit List and Medical Examination

After the SSB interview, a merit list will be prepared based on the candidatesโ€™ performance at the SSB and their medical fitness. Itโ€™s important to note that qualifying the SSB interview does not guarantee final selection. The merit list will solely be based on the marks obtained by the candidates at the SSB interview. Higher educational qualifications and previous achievements do not play a role in the preparation of the merit list.

Training & Service Terms for RVC 2024

Once selected, candidates will undergo training and serve as officers in the Indian Army. Letโ€™s explore the training and service terms associated with the Remount Veterinary Corps 2024:

Grant of Commission

Upon successful selection, candidates will be commissioned in the rank of Captain. This rank carries the responsibility of leading and managing the Remount Veterinary Corps in various operational and administrative capacities.

Training

Selected candidates will undergo post-commission training at the RVC Centre & College in Meerut Cantt. This training is designed to equip candidates with the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to fulfill their roles effectively.

The period of seniority granted is 12 months or 24 months for candidates holding postgraduate or doctorate degrees, respectively, prior to their commissioning in the Remount Veterinary Corps.

Suitability for Retention of Commission

If an officer is found unsuitable within one year of the grant of commission, their commission may be terminated before the contractual period of service for five years. This provision ensures that only candidates who meet the required standards and demonstrate their suitability for the role continue to serve in the Remount Veterinary Corps.

Tenure of Engagement

All officers granted commission in the Remount Veterinary Corps will serve the Indian Army for a period of five years from the date of conferment of commission, subject to fulfillment of other conditions.
