The Ferozepur Cantonment, established in 1839, holds historical significance, with its roots tracing back to the tenure of Captain H. M. The cantonment is located approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) east of the Sutlej River and about 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Firozpur city.
