Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh Takes Command of Sapta Shakti Command

Following the tribute, Lt Gen Singh reviewed the Guard of Honour, symbolizing the seamless transition of command and his readiness to lead.

In a distinguished ceremony held at the Jaipur Military Station, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, AVSM, YSM, VSM, officially assumed command of the Sapta Shakti Command, also known as the South Western Command of the Indian Army.

The ceremony included a solemn tribute at Prerna Sthal, where the new Army Commander honored the bravehearts who have served the nation with valor.

Following the tribute, Lt Gen Singh reviewed the Guard of Honour, symbolizing the seamless transition of command and his readiness to lead.

In his address, he urged all ranks within the South Western Command to continue their service with unwavering devotion and professionalism, reinforcing the commitment to India’s security needs.

The Sapta Shakti Command was established on April 15, 2005, and became fully operational by August 15 of the same year.
