In the wake of the incident, Indian Navy officials promptly initiated a search and rescue operation, successfully rescuing 11 of the crew members. However, the fate of the two missing fishermen remains uncertain, prompting ongoing efforts to locate them. To enhance the search, authorities deployed six ships and several aircraft to assist in the operation.

The Indian Navy has confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision to understand how the incident occurred and to prevent similar occurrences in the future. In a collaborative effort, the Indian Coast Guard has also been engaged in the search operation to help locate the missing individuals. The situation has raised concerns among local fishermen and the community, highlighting the need for safety protocols in maritime activities.
