Asteria Aerospace Delivers Largest Contract of AT-15 Drones to Indian Army

Bengaluru has become the focal point for a significant advancement in drone technology as Asteria Aerospace announces the delivery of its largest-ever order of AT-15 Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) drones to the Indian Army. Neel Mehta, Director and Co-founder of Asteria Aerospace, emphasized the importance of this milestone. “This delivery of Asteria’s indigenously developed AT-15 surveillance drones to the Indian Ministry of Defence demonstrates our unwavering support to meet the evolving needs of our defense forces,” he stated. The AT-15 drones, characterized as man-portable, come equipped with state-of-the-art features that include exceptional flight performance at high altitudes, integrated high-resolution day and night cameras, and advanced capabilities for precision artillery targeting. Mehta expressed confidence that these drones would significantly enhance the surveillance operations of the Indian Army.

The AT-15 drone stands out due to its innovative blended wing design, which ensures superior aerodynamics, allowing for efficient flight and high resistance to wind. It is capable of operating at altitudes of up to 6000 meters above mean sea level. The drone’s vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities make it easy to launch and recover in confined spaces. Additionally, it has an impressive flight endurance of up to 120 minutes and a operational range of up to 20 kilometers, which is crucial for extensive surveillance and reconnaissance tasks.
