General Upendra Dwivedi Visits Army War College Mhow

General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), recently visited the Army War College (AWC) in Mhow, where he addressed participants of the Joint Capsule (JOCAP) 2025. In his address, General Dwivedi emphasized the importance of aligning military objectives with transformative necessities and encouraged future leaders to adopt imaginative approaches that integrate all government organs in nation-building efforts. ​

During his speech, the COAS highlighted the evolving nature of warfare and the need for the military to adapt accordingly. He stressed that harmonizing military objectives with transformative strategies is crucial for maintaining operational effectiveness in the contemporary security environment. General Dwivedi urged the participants to be innovative in their leadership approaches, fostering collaboration across various government sectors to enhance national security and development.​

As part of his visit, General Dwivedi unveiled the annual edition of the War College Journal, themed “Changing Character of Warfare: Reimagining Training.” This edition focuses on the necessity to evolve professional military education to achieve agility, adaptability, and technological superiority, aligning with the vision of a transformed army. The journal serves as a platform for ideation and discourse on transformative training methodologies, ensuring that the armed forces are well-prepared to meet future challenges.​
