The Indian Army has officially denied reports claiming a ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Army officials clarified, “It is clarified that there has been NO ceasefire violation along the Line of Control. Please avoid spreading unverified information.”
The clarification comes after sections of the media reported an alleged ceasefire breach in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district. The Army stressed that the situation along the LoC remains calm and under control.
Defence sources reiterated that the 2021 agreement between India and Pakistan to strictly observe the 2003 ceasefire understanding continues to hold, and that both sides have largely adhered to it in recent years.
