The Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gwalior, witnessed a proud moment for the National Cadet Corps (NCC) as Maj Gen APS Chahal, SM, Additional Director General, West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate, interacted with cadets and honoured outstanding achievers from the Directorate.
Addressing the cadets, Maj Gen Chahal lauded their commitment, discipline, and enthusiasm, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence and to uphold the rich legacy of the NCC. He emphasized the importance of character building, leadership, and service to the nation as key pillars of cadet training.
As part of the felicitation ceremony, cadets and Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) who brought laurels to their groups were recognized for their exceptional performance.
Outstanding Achievements
- Lt Padma from the Darjeeling & Sikkim Group led her company with distinction, securing the coveted Individual Gold Medal.
- Ms Padma, a cadet from Khan College, 6 Girls Battalion, Kharagpur Group, excelled in her ANO Course, earning the Best in Special Skills Award.
Both achievers were praised for their dedication and the prestige they have brought to their respective groups.
