In a landmark move to integrate technology with military training, 39 Gorkha Training Centre (GTC), Varanasi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT (BHU), Varanasi to establish long-term collaboration focused on fostering innovation and technological advancement in defence training.
The partnership aims to facilitate joint projects, knowledge sharing, and the application of emerging technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and improve the conduct of Agniveer training.
The MoU was signed by Brig Anirban Datta, Commandant, 39 GTC, and Prof Rajesh Kumar, Dean (R&D), IIT (BHU), in the presence of Maj Gen A S Sohal, GOC, Purva UP & MP Sub Area, and Prof Amit Patra, Director, IIT (BHU).
This collaboration is expected to create a synergistic environment between military training and cutting-edge research, promoting innovation that will strengthen India’s defence capabilities.
