The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has taken charge of security at one of the country’s most critical government facilities Kartavya Bhawan-1 following the historic relocation of the Ministry of Finance from North Block to its new premises.
Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the new building on 2 October 2025, marking a significant moment in the nation’s administrative landscape. With this shift, Kartavya Bhawan becomes the new nerve centre of India’s financial governance, housing key departments and decision-making units responsible for shaping the country’s economic policies.
To ensure the highest standards of safety and operational continuity, CISF has been formally inducted at CCS-01/Kartavya Bhawan-1. The induction ceremony, attended by Shri Vishnu Swaroop, DIG/CISF, CGBS, along with other senior officials and media representatives, underscored the force’s critical role in safeguarding strategic national institutions.
Renowned for its professionalism, discipline, and unwavering commitment, CISF will provide round-the-clock security at the new complex, integrating advanced surveillance, access control systems, and layered security protocols. The deployment reaffirms CISF’s pivotal role in securing the nation’s vital installations from airports and metro networks to government buildings and sensitive economic centres with unmatched vigilance and operational excellence.
