The Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, is set to host the Passing Out Parade (POP) for the Autumn Term 2025 on 29 November, marking the completion of an intense and transformative training cycle for naval cadets. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, will preside over the ceremony as the Reviewing Officer.
The event, one of the Indian Navyโs most respected and longstanding traditions, symbolizes the serviceโs core values of discipline, honour, and professional excellence. The parade will showcase immaculate drill, precision movements, and the high standards expected of future naval leaders.
Cadets From India and Friendly Foreign Navies to Participate
Midshipmen and cadets from the Indian Navy will march alongside international trainees from Bangladesh, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Maldives, Myanmar, and Mozambique. Their participation highlights Indiaโs growing maritime partnerships and its commitment to capacity-building with friendly foreign nations.
A Proud Milestone for Cadets and Families
The ceremony will be attended by senior naval leadership, dignitaries, instructors, and proud families of the graduating cadets. Key moments of the POP will include the Review of the Parade, award of medals and trophies to meritorious performers, and the ceremonial Shipping of Stripesโsignifying the commissioning of the cadets as naval officers.
