Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, visited the forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh to review the operational preparedness and combat readiness of formations deployed along the sensitive frontier.
Focus on Tri-Service Preparedness
The key highlight of the visit was a comprehensive review of the preparations for the upcoming Tri-Service Exercise ‘Poorvi Prachand Prahar’, which aims to demonstrate the synergised capabilities of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force in conducting coordinated multi-domain operations. The exercise underscores India’s commitment to enhancing joint operational effectiveness and strategic response capability in the Eastern Sector.

Lt Gen Pendharkar was briefed on the integration of ground and aerial assets, real-time surveillance systems, logistics synchronization, and command connectivity—core elements of modern multi-domain warfare. He commended the troops for their state of readiness, discipline, and adaptability in challenging high-altitude terrain and extreme weather conditions.
