Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni, Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (DG EME) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME), visited the Brahmastra Corps under the Eastern Command from December 19 to 20, 2025.
During the visit, Lt Gen Sahni interacted with officers and troops, lauding their high standards of professionalism, technical competence, and mission-ready maintenance support that are critical to sustaining operational effectiveness in challenging environments.
The DG EME also reviewed key technical and innovation initiatives and commended the Drone Excellence Centre for its role in advancing indigenous solutions and self-reliance through innovation-driven development, in line with the Indian Army’s focus on modernisation and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The visit underscored the Indian Army’s emphasis on robust technical support, cutting-edge maintenance capabilities, and indigenisation, reinforcing preparedness for future operational challenges across the Eastern theatre.
