A total of 90 Officer Cadets, including one Foreign Officer Cadet, from the Officers Training Academy, Chennai (OTA) visited the Military Intelligence Training School and Depot (MINTSD) on December 24, 2025, as part of their professional exposure and military familiarisation programme.

The visit provided the Cadet Officers with a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the critical role of the Intelligence Arm in modern military operations. Through interactive briefings and demonstrations, the cadets were introduced to the responsibilities, capabilities, and operational significance of Military Intelligence in both peace and conflict.

The exposure visit also offered an in-depth understanding of the functioning of Military Intelligence, including intelligence collection, analysis, dissemination, and its integration into operational planning and decision-making. The interaction helped the cadets appreciate the importance of timely and accurate intelligence in ensuring mission success and force protection.

The visit to MINTSD reinforced the Indian Armyโs emphasis on holistic officer training, ensuring that young leaders are well-versed with the roles of various arms and services, and are better prepared to operate in complex and intelligence-driven operational environments.
