On the occasion of Army Day 2026, the Indian Army Investiture Ceremony was held with solemn dignity at the Sapta Shakti Auditorium, Jaipur Military Station, honouring exceptional valour, distinguished service, and professional excellence across the force.
The ceremony was presided over by General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), who conferred gallantry awards, unit honours, and special recognitions on deserving personnel and formations for their exemplary contributions to national security.

Honours and Awards Conferred
During the ceremony, the following honours were awarded:
- 10 Sena Medals (Gallantry) for acts of exceptional courage
- Unit Citations to 49 Units
- Unit Appreciations to 34 Units
- Unit Appreciations to 26 Units for distinguished performance during Operation Sindoor
In a highlight of the ceremony, the prestigious โBravest of the Braveโ Unit Award was presented to 8 Assam Rifles, recognising the unitโs outstanding operational excellence and unwavering commitment in challenging operational environments.

Recognition Beyond the Battlefield
Reflecting the Armyโs inclusive ethos, the ceremony also honoured contributions beyond combat roles. Six Veteran Achievers and three civilians were felicitated for their distinguished service and steadfast support to the Indian Army, underscoring the vital role of veterans and civil stakeholders in strengthening the military ecosystem.
