Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander, Northern Command, visited the Garud Division, along with Garud Gunners and Maharajke Brigade, to review the operational preparedness of the formations.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the prevailing security situation, readiness levels, training standards, and measures adopted to address emerging threats. He assessed the formationsโ preparedness across multiple operational domains, including surveillance, firepower, logistics, and rapid response capabilities.

Interacting with troops, Lt Gen Sharma emphasised the need to remain thoroughly prepared, innovatively trained, and adaptive, highlighting that modern conflict demands continuous evolution, proactive innovation, and seamless integration of technology with soldiering skills.
The Army Commander commended all ranks for their high degree of mission readiness, professionalism, and operational agility, urging them to sustain their unwavering commitment to excellence and maintain peak readiness at all times.
