The Tiger Division extended warm greetings to Subedar Major & Honorary Captain Bana Singh, Param Vir Chakra, on the occasion of his 77th birthday in Jammu.
The Division honoured his indomitable courage and supreme valour displayed during Operation Meghdoot at the Siachen Glacier in 1987, where Bana Singh led a daring assault that resulted in the capture of a critical enemy position under extreme high-altitude conditions.
Officers and soldiers paid tribute to the legendary warrior, recalling his inspirational leadership, selfless service, and unwavering commitment to the nation. His actions during Operation Meghdoot continue to serve as a beacon of courage for generations of soldiers.
