A balloon carrying the name of Pakistan International Airlines was found inside a technical area of an Indian Air Force establishment in Agra, prompting security agencies to initiate an investigation.
According to police officials, the balloon—shaped like an aircraft and coloured green and white—was discovered with a thread attached inside the Air Force premises. Following a complaint lodged by the Indian Air Force, a case was registered on February 12 at Shahganj police station.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Gaurav Singh clarified that no explosive device or suspicious material was found inside the balloon. Preliminary checks did not indicate any immediate threat, but the incident is being treated seriously given the sensitive location.
A detailed probe is currently underway to ascertain how the balloon entered the high-security area and to rule out any security lapses. Authorities have assured that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety and integrity of the Air Force installation.
