Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding of the Fire and Fury Corps, visited the Siachen Brigade to review the prevailing security situation and assess operational preparedness in the sector.
During the visit, the Corps Commander interacted with troops deployed in the world’s highest battlefield and commended them for their exceptional professionalism, courage, and steadfast devotion to duty while operating under harsh terrain and extreme weather conditions. He appreciated their resilience and determination in sustaining high operational standards despite the most demanding environmental challenges.

Lt Gen Bhalla exhorted all ranks to continue maintaining operational excellence, strengthen the integration of modern technology in operations, and uphold the highest traditions of duty, honour, and service to the nation. He emphasised that unwavering commitment, adaptability, and innovation remain critical to ensuring continued dominance and readiness in the Siachen sector.

The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s enduring focus on sustaining robust operational readiness and high morale among troops deployed in some of the most challenging and strategically important areas.
