Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, visited forward posts in Eastern Ladakh to review the prevailing security situation and assess the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the region.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on ground-level operational dynamics, force posture and measures in place to maintain a high state of readiness along the sensitive frontier. The review focused on preparedness, surveillance and sustainment of troops operating in high-altitude and harsh climatic conditions.

Lt Gen Sharma interacted with soldiers deployed at forward locations and commended them for their unwavering dedication, resilience and professionalism. He lauded their ability to maintain operational effectiveness despite extreme weather, rugged terrain and demanding operational challenges.
The visit reaffirmed Northern Command’s continued focus on vigilance, readiness and force preparedness in Eastern Ladakh, underscoring the Indian Army’s commitment to safeguarding national interests under the most demanding conditions.
