The Young Officers’ Course at The Infantry School, Mhow concluded on 14 February 2026, marking the successful completion of professional training for Infantry officers, including 47 officers from eight Friendly Foreign Countries—Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Ivory Coast, Mongolia, Eswatini, Malawi, Gambia and Tajikistan.

The course was structured to impart intensive training in platoon and company-level weapons and tactics, focusing on leadership development, tactical decision-making and combat effectiveness at the junior officer level. The programme aimed to prepare young leaders for the demands of modern and future battlefields.

During the valedictory ceremony, Major General Gautam Chauhan, VSM, Officiating Commandant of The Infantry School, felicitated officers who demonstrated exceptional professional competence and dedication throughout the course.

Lieutenant Shubham Kumar was adjudged the Overall Best Student, earning top honours for his consistent performance and leadership qualities, as the course concluded on a note of excellence and strengthened international military camaraderie.
