General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), visited Headquarters Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa Area in Mumbai, where he was briefed on the formation’s operational logistics, training architecture and administrative preparedness.

During the visit, the Army Chief reviewed measures undertaken to ensure robust rear area security, integrated logistics support and seamless military-civil fusion to sustain operations in evolving security scenarios. The briefing highlighted the formation’s readiness to provide critical logistical backing and maintain continuity of operations under dynamic conditions.

General Dwivedi appreciated the comprehensive approach adopted by the headquarters in strengthening command cohesion and support structures essential for operational effectiveness and troop welfare.

On the occasion, the COAS awarded on-the-spot commendations to four service personnel in recognition of their exemplary dedication and professionalism. He commended all ranks for their unwavering commitment to duty and underscored the importance of cohesive command, efficient logistics and strong administrative support systems in sustaining operational excellence.
