Air Vice Marshal RK Anadure, VSM**, assumed charge as the Principal Medical Officer (PMO) of Eastern Air Command on May 22, 2026, succeeding Air Vice Marshal Arijit Sen.
An alumnus of Armed Forces Medical College Pune (AFMC), Air Vice Marshal Anadure was commissioned into the Indian Army on January 13, 1993.
A distinguished neurologist with extensive clinical and administrative experience, the Air Officer has held several important appointments during a military medical career spanning more than three decades.
Prior to assuming the present appointment, he served as Deputy Commandant and Senior Instructor at the Officers Training College, AMC Centre & College.
The appointment highlights the continued focus of the Armed Forces Medical Services on strengthening medical leadership, operational healthcare support, and specialised medical expertise within the Armed Forces.
