Commodore Richie Ranjan assumed charge as Group Commander of NCC Group Headquarters Nainital with effect from May 1, 2026.
He takes over from Commodore B R Singh, who proceeded on superannuation on April 30, 2026, after a distinguished career in service.
Cmde Ranjan is expected to lead the Group Headquarters with a focus on operational efficiency, training, and strengthening organisational capabilities. His appointment comes at a time when emphasis continues to be placed on enhancing readiness and effective coordination within the unit.
The transition marks a smooth change of leadership, with the outgoing officer being acknowledged for his dedicated service and contributions.
