Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of the Northern Command, visited the TRINETRA AI Lab at Akhnoor to review ongoing artificial intelligence initiatives being developed by the formation.
During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed on the latest AI-based applications and technology solutions aligned with the Army Vision 2047 and the ongoing Decade of Transformation initiative.
The projects showcased at the laboratory focused on leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to enhance operational efficiency, situational awareness, data-driven planning, and battlefield decision-making capabilities.
Lt Gen Sharma appreciated the formation’s efforts towards harnessing emerging technologies and fostering innovation to build future-ready operational capabilities for the Indian Army.
The visit highlighted the Indian Army’s continued emphasis on digital transformation, indigenous technological innovation, and AI-enabled military modernisation in response to evolving security and warfare challenges.
