The Convocation Ceremony of the Long Gunnery Staff Course was held at the School of Artillery in Devlali on May 11, 2026, marking the successful completion of the prestigious 48-week training programme.
The course was attended by officers of the Indian Army along with participants from friendly foreign countries including Sri Lanka, Nepal, Armenia, Uganda, Myanmar, and Vietnam.

The advanced course is designed to impart comprehensive training on technical and tactical aspects of gunnery, preparing officers to serve as instructors in gunnery as well as Grade 1 staff officers in artillery formations.
Lieutenant General N S Sarna, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, Commandant of the School of Artillery, felicitated the award winners during the ceremony.

Major Rishi Tripathi was adjudged First in Order of Merit for his outstanding overall performance during the course. Major Rabindra Singh of the Nepal Army received the award for Best Foreign Student, recognising excellence among international participants.

The course highlighted the Indian Army’s emphasis on professional military education, advanced artillery training, and strengthening defence cooperation with friendly foreign nations through joint learning and exchange of expertise.
