Lieutenant General HS Vandhra, General Officer Commanding of the Madhya Bharat Area, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Siemens 64-Slice CT Scanner at the Military Hospital Jabalpur, marking a significant enhancement in advanced healthcare delivery for serving personnel, families and veterans.
The newly installed diagnostic system is equipped with high-resolution 3D imaging, faster scanning capabilities and low-dose radiation technology, enabling improved patient safety, enhanced diagnostic precision and quicker clinical decision-making.

Officials stated that the advanced CT scanner will substantially strengthen the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities across a wide spectrum of medical specialities, including trauma care, cardiology, neurology and oncology.
The system is expected to facilitate rapid trauma assessment, detailed cardiac evaluations, advanced neuroimaging and accurate cancer diagnostics, thereby improving treatment outcomes and reducing diagnosis time for patients.
Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen Vandhra highlighted the importance of modern medical infrastructure in ensuring quality healthcare for the Armed Forces community. He noted that the upgrade reflects the Indian Army’s continued commitment to adopting advanced medical technologies for better patient care.
