In a major achievement for the National Security Guard (NSG), the NSG Training Academy, Manesar, has been awarded the prestigious “Ati Utkrishth” (4-Star) Accreditation under the National Standards for Civil Services Training Institutions (NSCSTI) framework.
The accreditation has been conferred by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, recognising the academy’s commitment to training excellence and institutional capacity building.

The accreditation certificate was formally received by the Director General, NSG, from the Chairperson of the Capacity Building Commission during a special ceremony.
As the training arm of India’s premier counter-terrorism force, the NSG Training Academy plays a critical role in enhancing operational preparedness and professional competence across multiple security organisations. The academy supports the Ministry of Home Affairs’ ‘Duty to Share’ initiative by promoting capacity building, interoperability and knowledge-sharing among State Police Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Armed Forces and friendly foreign partners.

Over the years, the academy has emerged as a key centre for the assimilation, refinement and dissemination of counter-terrorism best practices, operational experiences and evolving doctrines. Through specialised training programmes and professional exchanges, it helps translate institutional knowledge into operational capability.
Officials noted that the academy serves as an important pillar of India’s counter-terrorism architecture by fostering collaboration and strengthening the collective preparedness of security agencies against emerging threats.
The recognition reflects the academy’s continued efforts to maintain high standards of instructional quality, training infrastructure, curriculum development and operational relevance. It also acknowledges its contribution to strengthening national security through the development of highly trained personnel capable of responding effectively to complex security challenges.

The NSG Training Academy’s achievement reinforces its position as one of the country’s leading security training institutions and highlights its enduring role in advancing professional excellence, innovation and operational readiness.
The accreditation is expected to further enhance the academy’s ability to serve as a centre of excellence for counter-terrorism training, capacity building and strategic knowledge-sharing, contributing significantly to India’s overall national security preparedness.
