Lieutenant General DG Misra, AVSM, General Officer Commanding, Uttar Bharat, visited forward areas in the Garhwal sector to assess the security outlook and operational readiness of troops deployed along the border.
During the visit, the General Officer inspected forward positions and reviewed the preparedness of units operating in the sensitive border region. The assessment focused on the security situation, troop readiness and measures being taken to maintain effective vigilance along the frontier.
Lieutenant General Misra also had a constructive interaction with troops deployed in the forward areas. He appreciated the units for maintaining a high state of preparedness and acknowledged their commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders.
Addressing the troops, the General Officer called upon all ranks to remain resolute and maintain a strong offensive posture. He also emphasised the need to step up surveillance to preserve the sanctity of the nation’s borders.
The visit reflected the continued focus of Uttar Bharat on operational preparedness, border security and troop motivation in forward areas. It also underlined the importance of constant vigilance and readiness in ensuring the security of the frontier.
