Lieutenant General Sumer Ivan D’Cunha, Director General and Colonel Commandant, Army Air Defence, visited The Valiant Wings to review operational preparedness and indigenous technology-driven initiatives aimed at countering emerging aerial threats.

During the visit, the General Officer was briefed on the formation’s operational capabilities and the integration of indigenous technologies designed to strengthen the Indian Army’s air defence network against evolving airborne threats.

Lt Gen D’Cunha commended the Air Defence warriors for their unwavering professionalism, high morale and combat excellence, appreciating their commitment to maintaining a high state of operational readiness.

Reaffirming the critical role of the Army Air Defence Corps in safeguarding the nation’s airspace, he emphasised the importance of innovation, indigenous capability development and continuous preparedness in building a robust, agile and future-ready air defence shield for India.
