Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Western Naval Command, paid his maiden visit to the Indian Navy Incubation Centre for Artificial Intelligence (INICAI) in Bengaluru on 6 July 2026.
During the visit, the Flag Officer was briefed on various indigenous artificial intelligence applications and advanced technology tools developed at INICAI to enhance the Indian Navy’s operational capabilities and decision-making processes.
The initiatives showcased at the centre reflect the Indian Navy’s continued emphasis on harnessing artificial intelligence, digital technologies and indigenous innovation to build a future-ready, technology-driven maritime force capable of meeting evolving operational challenges.
Vice Admiral Vatsayan was accompanied by Rear Admiral Vikram Menon, Flag Officer Karnataka Naval Area (FOK), and Commodore V. B. Bellary, Station Commander, Bengaluru, during the visit.
