Vice Admiral Vineet McCarty, AVSM, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN), visited the Northern Group of Islands to review tri-service operational readiness and the progress of strategic infrastructure development.
During the visit, the Commander-in-Chief was briefed on the operational preparedness of formations and reviewed the capabilities of Andaman and Nicobar Command units deployed across the strategically important islands.
Vice Admiral McCarty also assessed the command’s readiness to respond to emerging security challenges and strengthen India’s maritime and island defence posture in the region.
Commending the personnel for their professionalism, he lauded the exemplary integration among the Army, Navy and Air Force, highlighting the importance of jointness in enhancing the security and operational effectiveness of the island territories.
