Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth visited the Headquarters Uttar Bharat Area to review the formation’s operational preparedness and ongoing capability enhancement initiatives in line with the evolving operational environment and emerging security challenges.
During the visit, the Army Chief was briefed on the formation’s operational posture, technology-enabled training programmes, indigenous innovations and measures being implemented to further strengthen combat readiness. Senior commanders presented updates on efforts aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness through modernisation, advanced training methodologies and the integration of indigenous technologies.

General Dhiraj Seth reviewed the progress of technology-driven initiatives designed to improve operational capability across the formation. The briefing highlighted the increasing adoption of modern systems, innovative training practices and indigenous solutions that are contributing to greater efficiency, preparedness and mission effectiveness.
The COAS also assessed the formation’s efforts towards enhancing combat readiness through continuous capability development and infrastructure improvements. Emphasis was placed on maintaining a high level of preparedness to respond effectively across a broad spectrum of operational scenarios.

Interacting with officers and personnel, General Dhiraj Seth reiterated that combat readiness remains the cornerstone of military effectiveness. He emphasised the importance of adapting to rapidly evolving technologies and operational requirements while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discipline and operational excellence.
The Army Chief further underlined that technological adaptation and self-reliance are essential components of the Indian Army’s ongoing transformation. He encouraged continued innovation, greater integration of indigenous technologies and the adoption of modern operational practices to strengthen the Army’s capabilities in line with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

General Dhiraj Seth stated that a future-ready Indian Army must remain agile, technologically empowered and fully prepared to respond decisively across the full spectrum of military operations. He commended the formation for its commitment to operational excellence and its sustained efforts towards modernisation and capability enhancement.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s continued focus on strengthening operational preparedness through technology, innovation and indigenous capability development, ensuring that its formations remain equipped to meet both present and future security challenges.
