Lt Gen DG Misra, AVSM, General Officer Commanding, Uttar Bharat, visited the forward areas of Tripeak Brigade to review the formation’s operational preparedness and security posture along the frontier.
During the visit, the Army Commander assessed the Force Protection Measures being implemented by troops and reviewed the measures undertaken to safeguard personnel and critical assets in the challenging operational environment.
Lt Gen Misra was also briefed on the deployment and employment of New Generation Equipment being utilised by the formation. The focus on modern equipment reflects the Army’s continuing efforts to enhance surveillance, protection and operational effectiveness in demanding terrain.
The GOC reviewed the overall security posture of the sector and took stock of the preparedness of troops deployed in forward areas. The assessment focused on maintaining a high degree of vigilance and ensuring that formations remain capable of responding effectively to emerging security challenges.
The difficult terrain and harsh conditions of the frontier place significant demands on personnel deployed in these areas. Sustained alertness, effective force protection and continuous training therefore remain essential components of operational readiness.
