Maj Gen Himanshu Bhatnagar, Additional Director General Information Systems (ADG IS), visited Depot Regiment, Jabalpur, and interacted with personnel preparing for their transition from active military service to retirement.
During the interaction, Maj Gen Bhatnagar appreciated the dedication, professionalism and commitment demonstrated by the troops throughout their service. He acknowledged their contribution to the organisation and encouraged them to continue maintaining the same sense of responsibility and pride as they prepare for the next phase of their lives.

The interaction focused on the importance of ensuring a smooth and well-supported transition for personnel approaching retirement. Emphasis was placed on welfare, empowerment and resettlement measures aimed at helping demobees prepare confidently for life beyond active military service.
Maj Gen Bhatnagar encouraged the personnel to approach the transition process with confidence and make effective use of the available welfare and resettlement opportunities. He stressed that the support extended to personnel should continue beyond their period of active service.
The visit also reinforced the importance of recognising the contribution of soldiers and ensuring that their transition into civilian life is handled with dignity and adequate institutional support.
