Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), visited Command Hospital (Southern Command) on 10 August 2026 to review the hospital’s medical capabilities and ongoing efforts towards strengthening healthcare delivery for Armed Forces personnel and their dependants.
The DGAFMS was accompanied by Major General S Radhakrishnan, Major General (Medical), Headquarters Southern Command. During the visit, the senior medical leadership was briefed by Major General Sanil Mohan, Commandant, Command Hospital (Southern Command), on the hospital’s functioning, medical infrastructure and healthcare capabilities.
During the visit, Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin reviewed the advanced medical capabilities being harnessed by the hospital for patient care. The review covered the institution’s efforts to leverage modern medical facilities and specialised capabilities to provide comprehensive and quality healthcare.
The DGAFMS appreciated the hospital’s continued focus on patient-centric healthcare and its commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical services.
